Welcome to the Grade Six City Hall News Articles Project Website!

For this project, students learned about local government as well as learning about writing news articles.  We had a class election to elect a mock council before we went on our field trip to City Hall.  The students participated in a mock council session, had a tour of City Hall, and had the opportunity to observe the city's tribute to former Edmonton Oiler Jari Kurri.  Students were then asked to compose a news article based on their field trip experience.
